LOST + FOUND is a faith-based drama about seven school teachers who are at a crossroads in their lives and must choose whether or not to listen to a mysterious stranger who knows everything about them.

SYNOPSIS:

Ruth, the art teacher, sports a noticeable bruise on her wrist. She loves to chat with Conlan, her eccentric coworker. He keeps a towel tucked in his shirt as a faux cape and entertains his students by pretending he is a superhero. Ruth, however, is in a relationship with Jack, one of the gym teachers. Jack is verbally abusive to his students and to her. Perhaps, more than verbally abusive.

Ruth, Jack, Conlan, and four other teachers are put into a team to participate in a scavenger hunt for their school’s professional development day. The winner earns a much needed day off. The night before, Jack pressures Ruth to sleep with him. He reminds her that she has no experience and she can do no better. Ruth’s hesitation enrages Jack.

The group arrives at a new school for the scavenger hunt. The only other person in the building is The Custodian. Throughout the day, this kind-hearted man speaks to each teacher individually with words of encouragement. He reveals Conlan’s name means “hero” and not all heroes need a cape. Ruth discovers Jack’s horrid criminal past. She finally recognizes that she deserves better and breaks up with him. Jack retreats to the roof, where he has flashbacks of his abusive childhood. Jack decides that if he cannot have Ruth, no one can. He forces her onto the roof. Conlan fights Jack, hurling off his cape.

Jack is about to stab Conlan with a pocket knife, when The Custodian appears. Jack swipes at the Custodian with the knife, shredding the wrist area of his shirt. An unknown force sends Jack flying to his back. In great fear, he runs away. A circular wound is apparent on the wrist of The Custodian. “These are very old,” he says. Shortly after, The Custodian mysteriously disappears.

Over a year passes. Jack is in prison. He has a visitor. The Custodian sits across from him, asking Jack if he knows what Jack’s last name, Renato, means. The Custodian reveals that it means, “reborn.”
